Chilling Out by the Pool

It's finally over!

I'm referring to the kids school examinations. It's time for the kids to take a break and for all the Daddies and Mummies to catch up. I invited the group over to chill out by the pool this Sunday afternoon.

It was a relaxing and fun afternoon by the pool. And of course no food without wine and no wine without food. We had some pizzas, chicken wings, mini pancakes with assorted toppings, cold cut and cheese platters to go with bottles of chilled cold white - Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay.

We had great laugh watching the kids dancing to the popular Gangnam Style hit. Lots of happy memories were snapped and captured before it started to drizzle. We then adjourned to 2706 for the "Kids Idol" contest with the parents being the judges. Chill-out session continued with the Argentine Mendoza red that HH brought and Mayhem & Co Shiraz before we had a sweet ending of Pertaringa Moscato.

I wish we could have this every week.

  1. I heard that exams for kids can be very stressful too for the parents in Singapore... This pool party looks wonderful and exquisite. Typically, my Singaporean family will just un-wind with mahjong or shopping :p

No worries if you need a few good restaurants to go in Melbourne. I don't really dine out a lot in Melbourne and most of the places I go are Asian. I knew a few good casual places to go and they are at the Carlton area. They are mostly fusion, cakes, Italian or middle-Eastern food. Prefer Sydney for fine dining and thought Melbourne is a better place for multicultural or quirky food... I will email you and ask you more about your preference :D

    1. ha.. I did not 'cook' any of the dishes that day. The crackers and mini pancakes with assorted toppings (including the caviar) were made by one of my guests.

Oh yes, they love the ribs with yam... cooking again this thursday for dinner. :)
